Ten things that set us apart

The full catalog is below.

Every AI, on one canvas Bring Nano Banana, OpenAI, and your own ComfyUI workflows together on the same canvas and reach for whichever one fits the shot. You connect your own provider keys and pay the AI makers directly, so you get the real tools without a reseller's markup. A shared canvas your whole team thinks on More than painting together. It is a live ideation room: one infinite canvas where the squad drops references, sketches, notes, and bot results side by side while every cursor moves in real time. Ideas land where the work is, not in a separate chat. Point a bot at exactly what you mean Name any frame or layer, then type that name in your prompt. The bot receives those exact images in the order you wrote them, so you direct the result instead of describing it and hoping. A brush that feels like paint A pressure-sensitive engine with 27 brushes that respond to how hard and fast you draw, behaving like real media rather than stamps. Tablet and pen pressure are built in. Every version, kept and comparable Turn on version tracking and each save is preserved instead of overwriting the last. Open any version full screen, or drag a slider across two of them to see exactly what changed. Art-direct on the artwork itself Pin notes and threads straight onto the image where the change is needed, with live cursors, mentions, and a laser pointer for live reviews. Feedback stops getting lost in email. Your hardware, your rules Self-host the whole studio on machines you own for a fully air-gapped, on-location setup where keys, models, and art never leave the building. Put idle workstations to work as render machines after hours, and burst to AWS, RunPod, or other cloud GPUs only when you need the extra muscle. Safety you actually control Three checks you tune to your own standards run on every generation before it lands, calibrated against your own samples and applied to every bot, every time. Proof of how each image was made Exports can carry tamper-evident Content Credentials, so an AI-assisted image can show its own history. Clients and platforms can verify what they are looking at. Real team structure Squads, plain-English roles, and per-canvas permissions keep a growing studio organized, so the right people reach the right work without a configuration marathon.

Canvas & brushes

24 capabilities
Type a layer's name to send it to a bot
Send a single layer to a supported vision bot by typing its name in the prompt. The picker shows frames and layers together, so layered work can become bot input without extra setup.
Make every shortcut yours, and find any of them fast
Remap keys to match your hand and search by command or key. Conflicts are flagged before anything changes, and your shortcuts follow your account.
Zen mode
Clear the interface with one key when you need focus. Tools return on demand, then get out of the way again.
Shared canvas bookmarks
Save named canvas locations and jump back with a click or number key. Bookmarks are shared with the squad, so everyone can land on the same composition fast.
Live multi-artist canvas
Work on the same artwork with the whole squad. Changes appear for collaborators as they happen.
Infinite canvas
Pan and zoom forever. The canvas grows with the work, with no fixed document size.
Layers and masks
Stack, mask, and blend artwork without flattening the piece. The canvas supports the compositing surface artists expect.
Frames inside the canvas
Mark canvas regions as named workspaces for review, export, or bot input. The squad can refer to the same area without hunting for it.
Frame an image or layer in one move
Wrap a reference frame around a generated image with one key, or make an export frame fit the same picture. Every layer row has the same controls, so frames line up without manual nudging.
Real brush engine with pressure and pen support
Paint with pressure-responsive brush physics in one pass per stroke. Strokes feel like paint, not a smoothed digital trace, and pen and tablet pressure work across the canvas.
27 brushes across pencil, airbrush, and FX
Start with 27 brushes across pencil, airbrush, and FX families. Pigment mixing, smudge, oil, watercolor, smear, and stipple are ready when the finish needs hand work.
Brush gallery, favorites, drag-drop
Browse the brush gallery, drag favorites onto the panel, and swap between them with one click. The gallery docks to whichever side has room.
Per-brush presets
Save a tuned brush as a chip and jump back to it instantly. The default chip never moves.
Advanced brush settings panel
Tune detailed brush behavior when you need more than presets. Power users can reach the controls without leaving the brush panel.
Vector layers
Drop an SVG onto the canvas and get a vector layer with transform handles. Rasterize when you are ready to paint over it.
Text layers
Add text layers with their own editor and transform handles. Rasterize when you are ready to paint over the lettering.
Transform handles for every layer type
Move, scale, and rotate vector, text, and image layers directly on the canvas.
3D perspective on imported images
Tilt an imported image in 3D before committing it. A flat reference can sit on a surface or face the camera.
Per-layer color adjust
Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue per layer. The change stays editable.
12 blend modes per layer
Choose from 12 blend modes per layer, including multiply, screen, darken, lighten, difference, and color effects. The choice persists with the layer.
Rasterize on demand
Turn a vector or text layer into pixels when you are ready to paint over it. It is one-way, so do it when you mean it.
Eyedropper
Sample any pixel on the canvas.
Crashed jobs recover automatically
If a bot job stalls or dies, the system recovers automatically. The work in progress stays intact.

Multiplayer & review

8 capabilities
Live cursors, ping disc, teammate avatars
See your squad's cursors moving on the canvas, drop a ping anywhere, and jump to a teammate from the top bar. Review stays tied to the artwork instead of a separate call.
Laser pointer
Draw a temporary line everyone sees while you hold the shortcut. It fades after a few seconds so the canvas stays clean.
Short-lived notes on the canvas
Drop a short note on a point of the canvas for quick direction. It appears there for the squad, then fades so the artwork stays clean.
Live changes across the squad
Layer order, erasing, masks, blend changes, and undo appear for everyone watching. No refresh needed.
Pinned threads on the artwork
Pin a thread to the exact spot under discussion. The conversation stays attached to the artwork.
Mentions, reactions, notifications
Tag teammates, react, and resolve review threads. Notifications keep the right people in the conversation.
Reply once, you are in the loop
Reply to a thread once and follow-up replies, reactions, and resolutions come back to you. Teammates do not have to tag you again.
Six languages
Use the app in English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, or Simplified Chinese.

Projects & folders

9 capabilities
Version history for your deliverables
Turn on version tracking for an export frame so each save becomes a new version instead of replacing the last one. Open the deliverable to zoom, compare versions with a slider, open any older version, or delete the whole history only after typed confirmation.
Projects own their canvases
Keep canvases inside projects so working files stay organized with the rest of the job.
Infinite folder nesting
Nest folders as deeply as your organization needs.
Per-canvas permissions
Grant view, edit, or admin access at the canvas level. Outside reviewers and client viewers can join the one surface they need.
Cross-canvas card jumps
Open a card in admin and jump straight to the canvas where it lives.
Export frames save into a project folder
Drop an export frame on the artwork, pick a folder, and save the image there. Finals land beside the working file, not in a downloads pile.
Tag a work-in-progress export
Label an export frame as MOCK-UP, WIP, or NOT FINAL so drafts stay clear when they move around. The mark lands on saved images only, and approved finals export clean.
Export at any size, social presets to giant hero art
Pick a common social size on the export frame or drag it to custom dimensions. The same canvas can export a thumbnail or hero art up to 16K, capped by your graphics card.
Open project folders on the canvas, drag a saved image back in
Open project folders beside your tools, find saved art, and drag it back onto the canvas as a new layer. Saving exports into those folders is the main action, so finished work lands in the project tree.

Squads & permissions

14 capabilities
Five plain-English roles
Start with org admin, squad lead, artist, reviewer, and viewer roles. Build a custom role when those do not match your studio.
Permission catalogue + custom roles
Build custom roles from roughly 50 permissions across the app. Match how your shop works without filing a ticket.
Bot-author role
Let technical artists publish bots without giving them billing or seat management.
Visual role editor
Pick permissions with checkboxes and the role updates in place.
Member directory
Open a member to see every role they hold, every squad they sit in, and every grant they have.
Seat-licensed invites
Invite people with seat-aware licensing. When seats run out, invites pause until you license more or free one.
Audit log export to CSV
Export the audit log to CSV when legal or security needs a record.
Clean permission subsumption
Higher permissions include the lower ones beneath them. Publish includes edit, edit includes view, and the role model stays predictable.
Squads (named groups of org members)
Group members into squads such as design, QA, or marketing. Each squad gets its own work and access.
Squad description and rename
Give each squad a name and a short description of what they do.
Squad ownership transfer
Hand off squad ownership to another member without recreating the squad.
Squad audit history
See who added or removed members, renamed the squad, or transferred ownership in a load-more feed.
Squad pinning for compute, workflows, providers, and projects
Pin GPU machines, AI workflows, provider keys, and projects to a squad. Pinned items serve that squad only, while unpinned items stay available to the org.
Pin a machine to one squad, or let any squad use it
Dedicate a machine to one squad or leave it shared for any squad's next job. You choose at the machine.

Bots & AI

27 capabilities
Your prompts stay in the building on export
Keep hidden generation details out of client files by default. Turn the switch off for one export only when you intentionally want that image's recipe included.
Every image your bots make, kept and a drag from the canvas
Every bot result stays beside its frame, newest first. Review earlier runs, inspect how a result was made, or drag a thumbnail back onto the canvas as a new layer.
Content Credentials on your exports
Add provenance to exports so a finished image can carry who made it and how. With a studio signing certificate, the record becomes tamper-evident Content Credentials; without one, the details still save as metadata.
Read any imported image's recipe, then riff on it
Inspect imported AI images that include generation details and reuse the prompt, negative prompt, and settings. Re-roll the recipe into one or more of your own bots without rebuilding it by hand.
See at a glance when an imported image was AI-made
Inspect an imported image and SquadCreate shows an AI-generated tag when the file itself declares AI origin. No label means no tag, so the product reports the file's own claim rather than guessing.
See how any AI result was made
Inspect any AI result to see the prompt, bot, settings, seed, reference images, size, and creator. Copy fields or keep the panel open while you work.
Re-roll a result into any bot
Use Re-roll to send a result's prompt and settings into any bot. Compare another take without rebuilding the setup.
Line the bot frame up on any image with one key
Align the bot's generation frame to any image with one key. The frame keeps its current size and lands on the image's top-left corner, or follows your cursor on empty canvas.
Named reference frames in the prompt
Name reference frames and type those names into a prompt to send the right images to supported vision bots. Multiple named frames are passed in the order they appear in the sentence.
Cloud bot discovery and curation
Paste an approved cloud provider key and choose which models the team can use. The selected image bots are ready the next time anyone opens a canvas.
Image and chat model sorting
Cloud models are labeled by use, so image models become canvas bot cards and chat models stay reserved for prompt help. Artists only see the tools that belong in the bot panel.
Cloud bots proxied through the studio server
Remote artists reach studio bots through the studio server. They do not need to be on the same network as the GPU.
Soft-delete and restore for bots
Removing a bot archives it instead of destroying it. Configuration, run history, and parameter setup stay intact for restore.
Distributed GPU machines
Run GPU jobs on hardware you control. The studio owns the machines, keys, and workload.
Bot pipeline
Trigger a bot like a teammate and the output lands on an artist-owned layer. Humans stay in control of the finish.
Generate right on the canvas
Mix Nano Banana, OpenAI, and your own ComfyUI workflows on one canvas. You connect your own provider keys and pay those providers directly, with no reseller markup.
Rebuild bot cards in one click
Refresh the bot lineup after provider presets change. One click repairs missing or outdated bot cards.
Workflows ship straight from studio server to studio machines
When a workflow is ready, the studio server hands it to each studio machine over a secure connection. Nothing leaves the studio.
Bring-your-own AI workflow
Bring an existing AI workflow into SquadCreate, adjust it in your preferred tool, and upload the revised version back.
Detect bot settings from workflow labels
Label workflow inputs and outputs with the SquadCreate convention and the app builds the bot settings automatically.
Workflow versioning, publish gate, and one-click rollback
Save workflow drafts, publish only after the approval gate passes, and roll back to any prior published version. Concurrent-editor takeover keeps two authors from overwriting each other.
Approved building-block catalogue
Limit which workflow building blocks can ship in published bots. Revoke approval any time.
Workflow settings tab
Edit the inputs your team sees separately from the technical workflow.
Technical workflow editor
Open the technical workflow view when a specialist needs direct control.
View any workflow in-app
Open any workflow inside the app to see exactly how it is built.
Studio image workflows
Common image-generation workflows ship in the bot architecture, ready for studio setup.
Bots and canvases remember your choices
Each canvas remembers the bot you ran last, so reopening a project puts the right card in front of you. Each bot remembers your last size pick, including portrait or landscape.

Prompt library

27 capabilities
Prompt window with three tabs
Write prompts in a roomy window with syntax highlighting and alias autocomplete. Use Write to draft, Aliases to browse loaded snippets, and Guide to read the collection rules.
Edit a bot's prompt from the bot card
Open the prompt window from any bot card without leaving the canvas.
/alias snippets with autocomplete
Type a slash and a saved snippet name to drop it into any prompt field. When the bot runs, the alias expands into the full snippet body.
Give the bot a list of options
List alternatives in braces, such as {golden hour|overcast|moonlit}, and the bot picks one. Add a + when you want it to cycle through the options in order.
Library page for snippet collections
Browse snippet collections in a dedicated Library, with collections on the left and details on the right.
Two foundation snippet collections ship in the box
Start with 37 scene-vocabulary snippets and 44 human-descriptor snippets.
Fork any alias into your personal snippets
Copy any built-in or squad alias into your personal snippets. Customize the wording without changing the original.
Squad-leader collection control
Squad leaders choose which snippet collections their squad uses. On a canvas, autocomplete suggests only the aliases enabled for that project.
Live preview of what an alias produces
Preview a fresh expansion of any alias before you use it.
Batch runs with flexible placement
Run one prompt several times and lay the results out as a strip, square grid, vertical stack, or wider grid.
Square and strip batch layouts
Use square and strip layouts on the batch picker alongside the existing vertical and stacked options.
Prompt version stack
Open the version stack to roll back to any prompt you ran this session.
Prompt syntax highlighting
Aliases, option groups, and cycle markers get accent chips in the prompt field. You can scan the structure before running the bot.
Squad leaders create their own snippet collections
Squad leaders create shared collections from the Library header. No ticket required.
Inline snippet editing in the Library
Org admins and squad leaders add, edit, and remove snippets without leaving the Library.
Save a prompt (or any selection) as a snippet
Save the current prompt into your personal snippets, or highlight text and save only that selection. The prompt updates to reference the new alias.
Hover preview and alt-click insert on /alias tokens
Hover an alias in your prompt to see its body and a rolling example. Alt-click in the Aliases tab to paste resolved text instead of the alias token.
Hint when an alias is turned off
If an alias does not autocomplete, the prompt window tells you when its collection is disabled for the squad.
Rename and archive squad collections
Squad leaders rename or retire their squad's collections from the Library.
"Referenced by" links on alias detail
See which other aliases reference this one and click to jump to them.
Body-text search in the Library
Find an alias by what it contains, not just its name. Searching for "wet pavement" surfaces snippets that include it.
"Recently added" pinned in the Library
New squad snippets are pinned in the Library left rail so you can find recent additions quickly.
Negative prompts support aliases
The negative-prompt field gets the same aliases, option groups, autocomplete, and hover preview as the main prompt.
History sidebar in the prompt window
Recent runs for the active bot live in a sidebar. Pick one to drop it back into the prompt field.
Switch bots without closing the prompt window
Move to the next bot in place and keep writing. The window updates its accent so you know which bot is active.
Prompt draft survives bot switches
Type a prompt, switch bots to try the same idea elsewhere, and the draft stays waiting.
Your frame look follows you between machines
Frame style, dot opacity, accent colors, and line style live on your profile. Pick once and see the same frame on every machine you use.

Safety

13 capabilities
Three-gate classifier stack
Screen prompts, images, and bot responses before they move forward. Thresholds are configurable by category for each studio.
Database-enforced safety policy
Safety permissions and policy are enforced in storage as well as in the interface.
Calibration against your own samples
Run a candidate policy against recent samples before committing it. See what would have blocked or flagged first.
Incident review queue
Reviewers confirm, mark false positive, or escalate every block and flag.
Self-serve add-on classifier installs
Install approved add-on classifier models into a running safety service with no restart. Gated models ask for the required provider token in the dashboard.
Cancel a queued install
Cancel from the gallery before the safety service starts the install. Once downloading has begun, the card explains the limit.
Unified gallery with active styling
See all safety providers in one gallery, with the live one highlighted in place.
Bundled classifiers visible and toggleable
Built-in classifiers appear in the same gallery as add-ons. Turn one off and it stops scoring within seconds.
Refresh a stale safety connection
Refresh a stale safety connection with one click. The system creates a new token and the service picks it up in place.
Safety token updates without restart
When an admin refreshes a safety token, the running service picks it up and heartbeats turn green again.
Shadow mode for new classifiers
Test a new classifier in observe-only mode, review what it would have flagged, then promote it when trusted.
Per-classifier score visibility
Reviewers see which classifier flagged what, separately from the enforcement decision.
Audit log covers credential events
The safety audit log records every credential change with a one-line summary. Filter by event kind and export the results to CSV.

Self-host

2 capabilities
Runs on hardware you own
Install signed software behind your firewall for an air-gapped, on-location studio. Keys, models, and artwork stay in the building, and idle workstations can become render machines after hours.
Runs on cloud GPUs you choose
Burst to GPU machines in your own AWS, RunPod, or other cloud account when you need extra capacity. You provision the machine, SquadCreate uses it on demand.
